Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd began her journey in combat sports at the young age of fourteen. Along with BJJ as well, she was also trained in boxing, wrestling, and kickboxing. When she was 18, Ladd made her debut as an amateur at WCFC. Ladd was able to win three fights consecutively at Ultimate Reno Combat. All of her opponents had been defeated in the first minute. Ladd returned to WCFC and beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen first defeated Silvia Babyghian prior to going to fight Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9, where she faced Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia defeated Aspen and beat her in a unanimous decision to put an end to Ladd's amateur record. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff to improve her amateur record to 8-1. Aspen turned professional in 2015 and signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. The InvictaFC11 fight was her debut professional bout. She was a rout of Ana Carolina Vidal, securing the 1st-round TKO. Invicta Fighting Championships 16: She took the following match with Amanda Cooper through a second-round submission by armbar. Aspen employed the strong skills she had learned in wrestling to take on McGill. Aspen ended the fight with a the TKO (3rd round) (elbows as well as punches). Aspen was then matched against Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She fought Hoy with an opponent with a catchweight (138.1lb) since Ladd didn't make weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy to finish her in second round with a TKO. Invicta FC 21, she took her victory in the final bout of the promotion by unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut in UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She was a step ahead of Lina and pounded her with a ground-and-pound for a second-round TKO victory. In her second fight, she overcame Tonya Evinger more convincingly. Ladd beat Evinger with a punch during the initial round, and earned a performance of the night bonus. Sijara Eubanks from Invicta FC was her opponent for the rematch that took place at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was her first major match. The victory of Ladd was a unanimous decision and she was awarded the Fight of the Night award went to the two fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie was able to finish the fight in just 16 seconds and stop Ladd and her streak. Yana Knitskaya lost in the third at UFC 7 on ESPN. In her recent fight for the UFC she fought Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 in a rematch fight. She was defeated by a unanimous decision.
